WDO inspections

How often do you recommend a home to be inspected for WDO?

WDO or Wood Destroying Organisms include a number of entities that can damage or destroy wood from Wood Decay Fungi (WDF), Carpenter Ants, Carpenter Bees, Dry Wood Termites, Wood Boring Beetles, Subterranean Termites and others.

Left undiscovered for a sufficient period of time, these pests may cause significant damage to structures.

Generally speaking, Industry references advise that WDO inspections should be conducted on at least an annual basis.

When conducting such inspections it is best to be thorough and “leave no stone unturned” since the telltale signs of WDOs we’re looking for may be subtle.

Please advise if any additional questions or concerns, good luck !
